Medias > Press Releases > Press ReleaseThe Brahms Love AffairThe Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montréal, under the baton of maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin, presents “The Brahms Love Affair”The Métropolitain’s, its conductor’s, and its audience’s special affinity for the great German composer are by now well known. After the success in 2003 of Brahms’s First Symphony and Second Piano Concerto performed with the young Canadian soloist of exceptional talent, Ian Parker, we repeat the exploit with the same guest, in a performance of two other masterpieces of the Romantic repertoire and a Canadian creation by young composer Julien Bilodeau. A good way to celebrate Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s birthday on March 6! Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Conductor Program
