Night Musics

Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montréal, under the baton of its maestro, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, invites you to discover the warm feeling of “Night Musics”

A program full of poetry, atmosphere, and sensuality…. On the theme of the night, you are invited to travel in music across time and space, from Spain to Austria and France.

Don’t miss the chance to hear David Fray, a young and brilliant pianist who caused a sensation when he obtained Second Prize in the Montreal International Piano Competition in 2004. David Fray will enlighten the night not with one but two works: Nights in the Gardens of Spain by Manuel De Falla and the magnificent Piano Concerto in G Major by Maurice Ravel.

The Artistic Director of the Métropolitain, Yannick Nézet-Séguin also wishes to celebrate Mozart’s 250th Anniversary by programming one of the composer’s most popular and played work, Eine Kleine Nachmusik.

Finally the Metropolitain will play the Suite from Debussy’s Opera Pelleas and Mélisande in a extraordinary arrangement by conductor Erich Leinsdorf.
