DescriptionTo mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of Canadian composer Pierre Mercure and the 40th anniversary of his death, the Orchestre Métropolitain will perform the composer’s major work Cantate pour une joie, based on poems by Gabriel Charpentier. Also on the program, Hector Berlioz’s Roman Carnaval Overture: an orchestral tableau conceived as an operatic overture! |
