Express your classical side!

Our new slogan crystallizes the spirit in which we’ve prepared your 2007-2008 season of l’Orchestre Métropolitain. The programming will please not only our veteran patrons, but people who have newly decided to explore the fascinating world of classical music. We of course will continue with the Mahler, Bruckner and Haydn cycles. And we’ll mesmerize you with Jacques Hétu’s new Concerto for viola as well as Isabelle Panneton’s creation for orchestra, chorus and marimba, performed by the virtuoso of the instrument, Anne-Julie Caron. Add to this our homage to Glenn Gould, “1001 Nights” with graceful and charming prima ballerina Anik Bissonnette, Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique, Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and the majestic Fauré Requiem… and you have seven enchanting concerts that you just can’t miss!
